A host of City youngsters have been called up for international duty for their respective countries ahead of September’s raft of fixtures.

James McAtee and Callum Doyle, who is currently on loan at Norwich, have both been named in the England Under-21 squad for the Young Lions’ Euro U21 qualifier against Northern Ireland on Friday, September 6 and friendly with Austria on Monday, September 9.

Meanwhile Nico O’Reilly and Max Alleyne have both been named in the England Elite League squad who begin their Euro Elite League campaign with a trip to Turkey on September 6 before they take on Romania in a game played at Stockport on Tuesday, September 10.

Jahmai Simpson-Pusey has been named on standby for the squad.

Michael Okeke has been included in the Hungary Under-21s squad for a friendly against Slovakia on September 5 and Euro Under-21 qualifier against Spain on September 10.

Matty Henderson-Hall is part of the England Under-19s squad that will take part in a friendly tournament featuring matches against Italy (September 4), Croatia (September 7) and Germany (September 10).

Matty Warhurst, Joel Ndala and Lakyle Samuel are all on standby.

Rhys Thomas has been selected as part of the Wales Under-19s squad ahead of friendlies against Turkmenistan (September 7) and Azerbaijan (September 9)

Meanwhile, Farid Alfa-Ruprecht is on standby for Germany’s Under-19s ahead of their friendly against Croatia.

Spike Brits, Oliver Whatmuff and Divine Mukasa have been called up for England’s Under-18s who will be taking part in the Lafarge Foot Avenir Tournament in France with games against Portugal (September 4), Switzerland (September 6) and France (September 8).

Christian Dunbar-McDonald, Luca Fletcher and Leke Drake are all on standby.

Meanwhile, Max Hudson is part of the Wales Under-18 squad for their friendlies against the Czech Republic (September 4), Slovakia (September 6) and Turkey (September 8).

Dante Headley, Ryan Mcaidoo Kaden Braithwaite, Finlay Gorman and Reigan Heskey have all been called up to the England Under-17s squad which will take part in an international tournament in Germany against Mexico (September 4), Israel (September 7) and Germany (September 10).

And Jayden Lienou is in the Wales Under-17s squad for their friendlies against Gibraltar (September 4) and Qatar (September 6).
