The summit saw 100 members of staff from across the academy and wider City Football Group Network collaborate on a number of workshops designed to help identify what can make the difference in the future.
These workshops aim to set the foundations for how our youth system continues to evolve and develop, and included key areas such as knowledge transfers, position specifics, leadership and what the future player looks like for the future game.
“Continuing Manchester City Academy’s development is vital, and the Academy Summit is now a key part of our strategy,” Krucken explained.

“We have had huge success in recent seasons, both on the pitch and in producing players for our first team - but we cannot stand still. We must continue to evolve and improve.
“That’s exactly what the Academy Summit is designed to do. This was the first time the event has been held and it was hugely successful.
“Around 100 staff attended, and workshops focused on what the future player looks like, tactical innovations, leadership styles and the future of our game.
“Football is constantly changing, and Manchester City must be at the forefront of that change.”
