Brian Barry-Murphy’s Under-19s secured passage to the knockout stages of the competition for a second successive season by topping Group G.
Four wins and two draws against RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade and BSC Young Boys made City one of three teams to go unbeaten in the group stages.
And on Friday 9 February, around 12:00 (UK), City will find out our opponents for the last-16 and who we could face at the quarter-final and semi-final stages.
All matches are one-off games, and if level after 90 minutes go straight to penalties. As in previous seasons, the semis and final are played at a single venue.
WHEN IS THE DRAW?
The draw will take place in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday 9 February and will begin at 12:00 (UK).
STATE OF PLAY
The eight teams who topped their respective groups automatically qualified for the first knockout stage.
Those who placed second competed in a play-off match against the group winners of the domestic champions path (a separate competition) to secure one of the remaining eight spots in the round of 16.
Group winners cannot play the runners-up from the same group in the round of 16 but there is no country protection. The draw procedure for all rounds will be confirmed ahead of the ceremony.
WHO COULD CITY PLAY in the round of 16?
City could be drawn against the following teams:
AZ Alkmaar (NED, domestic champions path, holders)
Bayern Munich (GER, Group A runners-up)
Braga (POR, Group C runners-up)
Mainz (GER, domestic champions path)
Nantes (FRA, domestic champions path)
Olympiacos (GRE, domestic champions path)
Žilina (SVK, domestic champions path)
WHEN WILL the TIES TAKE PLACE?
City’s Round of 16 match will be played across Tuesday 27 February and Wednesday 28 February.
The exact time and date of our fixture is expected to be confirmed on the same day as the draw itself.
Quarter-finals will be played on 12 or 13 March for the right to reach the single venue finals event in April.
That single venue is yet to be confirmed. The semi-final will be played on 19 April and final on 22 April.
