The Blues welcome Spurs to the Academy Stadium in the Premier League 2 on Saturday 25 November, with kick-off at 1pm.
After 10 games in the competition, Simon Davies’ side have won two, drawn four, and lost four - which places them in ninth position in the table.
Meanwhile, the north London side sit at the bottom of the Premier League 2 on eight points - just two behind City, and Wilson has said that the squad are looking forward to it.
“Spurs are a good team,” the young Irish player stated. “They are quite similar to ourselves in the way they play. It will be a good game and there will be a lot of football being played.
“We’re looking forward to it. We prefer those type of games, when teams get the ball down and play. We can press high.
“We have fast players up top who can lead the press and then we all move up together. It should be an interesting game.
“I think the more open games suit our style play because we have a lot of pace up top and we can go in behind.
“If we do it from the start of the game I’m sure the space will open up so we can play our football.”
EDS manager, Davies, thinks that Saturday’s opponents will be similar to City’s recent Champions League clash against Feyenoord, which ended 0-0.
“It will be a similar test as we had against Feyenoord because they usually come and play in a 4-3-3 formation,” Davies explained. “We’ve got a couple of games at home now in Arsenal and Spurs who’ve got top young players, like we’ve got and like Chelsea have got.
“The next two games are going to be really interesting and we’re looking forward to a good football game.”
