The City youngsters got off to a positive start in our European campaign with a fine 3-1 victory away at Shakhtar Donetsk a fortnight ago.
Our first home clash sees Dinamo Zagreb’s Under-19s visit the Academy Stadium with the Croatians having recorded a 1-0 home win over Atalanta in their opening fixture.
With a two-week international break following today’s encounter, EDS manager Harsley is urging his young charges to go into the break on a real high note.

“It was a really positive start away at Shakhtar and we need to maintain that going into the international break,” said Harsley
“We were delighted with Shakhtar. No matter what anyone says, it’s a tough old place to go.
“Another positive result against Dinamo would be such a great way to finish this block of games for us.”
Skipper Tommy Doyle echoed the manager’s thoughts and but stressed that he and his colleagues would need to be at their best to overcome the challenge of a talented young Zagreb side.
“Going to Ukraine is never easy. The food, the hotels, even little things like the Wi-Fi, but I thought we were very professional over there,” Doyle declared.
“However, we know that we are coming up against a very good team in Dinamo Zagreb.
“But we are too so if we bring what we have been in the Leasing. Com Trophy it should be good.
“All you want at the end of the day is three points.
“You want to play well but if you don’t but still manage to grind out three points that is the sign of a good team.”
