Manchester City's Pontin's Holiday League team have come away from Chester City with a point this afternoon following a 1-1 draw.

City took the lead after just seven minutes following a good move involving John Campbell. His shot was saved but fell to Ashley Grimes 10 yards out who smashed the ball into the roof of the net.

The lead only lasted 12 minutes though as Chester, playing some of their returning first team members, levelled through Mark Cadwallader with a far post header.

Despite struggling with the physical side of the game the young side held their own and played the better football throughout with Ashley Williams particularly holding his own in the midfield area.

City had the chances to win the game in the second half but certainly deserved their point at the Saunders Honda Stadium, surviving a couple of late scares along the way.
