Andy Welsh’s men take on United (kick-off 7pm) in the Manchester Senior Cup and will be hoping to return to winning ways following a 2-1 loss at Bolton last week.
The Blues managed to go through the entire 2009/10 campaign unbeaten away from home and will be hoping their new three-year groundshare deal with Hyde will reap similar spoils.
City and Hyde became partners during the summer in a unique deal that saw the Blues invest substantially in major improvements at Ewen Fields, including pitch and spectator experience improvements, branding and even sky blue paintwork.
With enhanced facilities throughout the stadium, EDS boss Andy Welsh is hoping City fans turn out in force on Tuesday night.
“It’s the start of a new era for us and we’re hoping our fans turn out in their numbers, especially against United,” said Welsh.

As Manchester Senior Cup holders, City know they will need to beat the Reds if they are have a chance of retaining the trophy they won at the Reebok Stadium last May.
The Blues’ league programme will begin at week later with Aston Villa visiting Hyde.
