Since last Tuesday the Championship outfit have played three times and Helan has been on the pitch for all but ten minutes of them – featuring for 80 minutes on 9 April as his side clinched a last minute victory over Millwall and playing the full game on Tuesday night as Wednesday played out a goalless draw with Blackpool.
In between, he featured for another 90 minutes and set up the opening goal away to Leeds, although eventually finished on the losing side at Elland Road.
It’s been a productive loan spell for the versatile Frenchman who has carved out a regular starting place for himself.
He’s had no problem impressing the fans at Hillsborough either, who would be keen to retain his services next season.

Elsewhere in the division, Wayne Bridge completed 180 minutes this week for Brighton – completing games against Middlesbrough and Peterborough.
The Seagulls earned four points and Bridge was part of a defence which kept two clean sheets, ensuring Brighton remain in the play-off places.
It was another frustrating week for Karim Rekik at Blackburn. Rovers have pulled clear of the Championship relegation places but the Dutch defender continues to sit on the bench at Ewood Park - an unused sub against Derby County and Huddersfield.
Alex Nimely was forced off after 12 minutes for Crystal Palace’s U21s side as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury. This was Nimely’s second appearance for the Eagles at this level, and he recorded an assist before departing the field.
In League One, Eirik Holmen Johansen helped preserve a vital point for Scunthorpe at home to Walsall on Saturday. The young keeper made a crucial late stop from Febian Brandy to keep the score at 1-1.
The Iron remain in grave relegation danger though after suffering a 2-1 loss to already relegated Bury on Tuesday night, in which the Norwegian made a number of saves. His side are now five points from safety with six games left.
Currently at Chesterfield, Alex Henshall came on for the last seven minutes of a thrilling draw between the Spireites and Bradford in League Two.
On Tuesday, he played 35 minutes as Chesterfield lost at home to Plymouth Argyle, but it was Henshall who created the home side’s goal with a clever cross within two minutes of coming on, which an Argyle defender was forced to turn into his own net.
Adam Drury was a 79th minute substitution for Burton Albion in the same division, who went on to grab a minute winner against Plymouthth90 on Saturday.
In Scotland, Ryan McGivern played all 120 minutes of a thrilling Scottish Cup tie for Hibernian as they snatched a 4-3 victory over Falkirk to reach the final.
The Edinburgh-based side had found themselves 3-0 down after 30 minutes but staged a magnificent comeback to draw level in the second half and go on to win in extra time.
Ryan will be hoping to continue a productive loan spell by winning a place in the starting XI to face Celtic at Hampden Park at the end of May.
On the continent, Roque Santa Cruz was in Champions League action for Malaga, minute for their quarter final second leg clash with Borussia Dortmundrdcoming on in the 83.
The Spanish side, who led 2-1 at Roque’s introduction, will feel very aggrieved as Dortmund’s last-gasp winner was scored from an offside position.
The Paraguayan did not play any part in the weekend’s 1-0 victory over Osasuna in La Liga.
In France, Mohammed Abu played the full 90 minutes for Lorient in Ligue 1 as they romped to a 4-1 victory over Bastia.
Omar Elabdellaoui was on the field for 76 minutes of Eintracht Braunschweig’s 3-1 victory over Sandhausen in Germany’s 2.Bundesliga, while Abdi Ibrahim was involved for the full 90 minutes for Stromsgodset as they beat Valerenga 3-0 in Norway’s Eliteserien.
Luca Scapuzzi played the last nine minutes of Varese’s 3-1 loss to Livorno in Serie B at the weekend but played no part in a 2-1 defeat to Pro Vercelli on Tuesday. The Italian side currently sit seventh in the table.
