Italian striker Luca Scapuzzi has joined Serie B outfit AS Varese on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year old three goals in nine Barclays U21 Premier League appearances so far this season and has made one first-team appearance for the club in last season’s Carling Cup.
Varese are a Northern Italian team currently mid-table in Serie B but are handily placed to move up into the play-off positions with games in hand.
Scapuzzi played 17 times and scored twice for Oldham Athletic on loan last season and also made two appearances for Portsmouth in 2012.
Luca is due to return to City on 13 June 2013.
