Manuel Pellegrini’s men take on Arsenal on Saturday evening knowing they could be six points behind leaders Chelsea by kick off, but would have three games in hand on the Stamford Bridge outfit.
With just nine games left, the Frenchman is refusing to single out any one fixture, and is concentrating on each game as it comes.
“There are plenty of games left between now and the end of the season, including big games away from home like Arsenal and Liverpool,” Nasri declared.
“I think it is too easy to say that one game will be crucial for the title. We know that if we win every game we will be Champions, so every game is crucial for us.”
The midfielder spent three years with the Gunners before moving to Manchester, and has admitted it is still special to return to the Emirates.
Nasri reflected: “I don’t expect to be welcomed with open arms by the crowd but hopefully that’s because they were disappointed to see me leave and perhaps at some point they loved me.
“But when I am on the pitch I don’t focus on the opposition fans, I am focused on doing my best for the team.”
City triumphed 6-3 over Arsenal in the reverse fixture in December, delighting fans with a scintillating attacking display as part of a truly thrilling encounter.
The Gunners have suffered defeat to Chelsea and a late equaliser against Swansea in their last two outings, but Wenger’s men will be keen to bounce back against City and keep pace with the top three.
This Premier League clash at the Emirates comes just days after the sensational derby victory over Manchester United, but Samir remains undaunted by the prospect of a second big game in less than a week.
“We have been used to playing every three days since the start of the season, so I don’t think the United game has affected our preparation,” he said. “We are just aiming for a second great result against Arsenal after the one at Old Trafford.
“The great thing is it is another big game, and we know we have been playing well as a team against big opponents, so I am looking forward to it.”
