The Cherries’ reputation for free-flowing, attractive football has won them many admirers over the past few years and that same philosophy helped win them promotion from the Championship last season.
In what will be the first top flight meeting between the two teams, Navas expects the visitors to be patient and try and counter-attack the Blues while remaining solid at the back.
“I think they will be very compact, defend and frustrate us but we’re at home, in front of our own fans and we should have enough to take all three points,” said Navas.
“They are a good side and have shown that already this season in certain games. That’s what makes this league so fascinating – it’s no exaggeration that any team can beat the other which is why you have to be at our best every time we go out.
“We need to concentrate and focus and make sure we play to our maximum levels and if we do, we know we can beat anyone.”
Navas is hoping for a starting berth having played a key role from the bench in the 6-1 win over Newcastle a fortnight ago.
He also believes this will be a completely different type of game, with Eddie Howe’s side able to mix and match their tactics to suit the team they’re playing.
“I think it will be a different match than Newcastle and I think they’ll try and hit us on the break while remaining solid at the back,” said Jesus
“They know the quality we have and that if they play too open, they could get punished. It will be hard and we may have to be patient, but if it does open up, for a player like me, these are the sort of matches I love to play in.”
