The first leg of the crunch Champions League semi-final tie ended without major incident but the goalkeeper insists this plays into City’s hands.
He said: “We’re not disappointed. We’ve set it up for a good, old-fashioned rumble in the Bernabeu and we’re ready for it.
“We’ve got a brilliant squad and everyone is fit now. We’ve got an important game on Sunday which we’ll turn our focus to.”
Vincent Kompany echoed Hart’s message, insisting the club have an excellent chance of reaching next month’s final at the San Siro.
He said: “0-0 is a dangerous score. The moment we manage to score in Madrid it will be a very different game.
“It’s hard to keep a clean sheet against such a good attacking side. Overall, we can proud of what we have achieved in the first leg of this tie. We couldn’t have wished for more at this stage. There are 90 minutes with it all to play for next week.”
The match was a tactical affair, with few chances for either side, but Kompany is looking to ensure that the defence keep it even tighter in the second leg next Wednesday.
“They had a clear gameplan. They tried to catch us on the break like they’ve done in most of their big games,” the Belgian added.
“Hart had to pull off a few saves but there were many from set pieces so we need to look at that and make sure that doesn’t happen. I thought on set pieces we were dangerous as well but it’s too close to call at the moment.”
