The Spanish winger is “full of hope and desire” ahead of City’s last eight showdown with PSG, however, he’s warned that the away side are in for a stern examination at the Parc des Princes.
While much of the media focus, from an English side at least, will centre on the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the apex of the PSG attack, Jesus has warned that there is more to Laurent Blanc’s side than the ever-quotable Swedish superstar.
“Zlatan has been at this level not just this season but for a long time,” Navas asserted.
“He’s been performing at the highest level for years but it’s not just him but the whole of the Paris Saint-Germain side that we have to be focused on.
“We have to really work hard to control and get the better of them because not only is it him but they have a great squad of players as well.”
City qualified for the quarter finals after overcoming Dynamo Kyiv 3-1 on aggregate in a relatively comfortable Last 16 clash.
It was the first time the Blues have ever won a Champions League knockout match but Jesus believes that even more history can be made this season.
“It’s a great feeling to be in the quarter final,” Navas declared.
“We’re full of hope and full of desire and we can’t wait for the games to come around.
“It’s really nice to be part of this experience and part of this team that has achieved it.
“It’s all about going step-by-step and hopefully with a good performance in this round who knows where we can get to.”
