Spanish City
City have won twice in eight competitive matches in Spain down the years, but the brilliant performance in the 3-1 win over Sevilla in the group stage of this season’s Champions League gives plenty of hope.
The Blues’ away record in the 2015-16 Champions League is good - three wins, one draw and just the one defeat, to Juventus.
Permutations
A City win will, of course, put the Blues through to the final in Milan on 28 May, as will any kind of scoring draw on the away goals rule.
If it’s still 0-0 after 90 minutes, the game will go to extra time and if it remains goalless at the end of that, the tie will be settled by a penalty shoot-out.
