As Leroy Sane puts pen to paper to become a Manchester City player, we look back at the youngster's career so far...

As a youngster Sane spent time at SG Wattenscheid 09 - who his father had played for - and Bayen Leverkusen, before completing his footballing education at Schalke.

Leroy has swapped royal blue for sky blue to become our fifth signing of the 2016 summer transfer window!

Sane - seen here celebrating with fans - made his professional debut towards the end of the 2013/14 campaign, and went on to make more than 50 appearances for the Miners, scoring 13 goals.

Leroy was part of Germany’s Euro 2016 squad and made one appearance in the semi-final clash with France.

WELCOME TO MANCHESTER: Leroy Sane is the latest addition to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Having represented Germany at U19 and U21 level, Sane received his first international call-up in November 2015 and made his debut in a 2-0 defeat against Bacary Sagna’s France.

The winger caught the eye of Pep Guardiola whilst he was managing Bayern Munich, with the Spaniard saying: “Leroy is a huge talent. I can only congratulate Germany on having a talent like him.”

The youngster’s reputation grew after an eye catching performance in the Champions League.
