After Enes Unal’s heroics in the week before, fellow loanee Yaw Yeboah joined the Turkish striker on FC Twente’s scoring charts.

The Enschede side made it two Eredivisie wins in a row on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Sparta Rotterdam and both City youngsters played a crucial role.

After Unal’s flick-on set winger Hakim Ziyech through for Twente’s first goal, Yeboah doubled the lead in the 36th minute with a curling effort from the edge of the box that found its way inside the goalkeeper’s near post.

The victory leaves Twente in seventh position in the Eredivisie heading into the international break.

Elsewhere in Holland, Brandon Barker and Ashley Smith-Brown played a full 90 minutes as their NAC Breda were held to a 0-0 draw by Den Bosch, despite having twice as many shots as the visitors. David Faupala was an unused substitute for Breda.

Olivier Ntcham’s Genoa continued their 100% start to the Italian season with a 3-1 victory over newly-promoted Crotone. The 20-year-old French midfielder laid on his side’s first goal with a zipped pass across the face of the Crotone goal before he made way after 72 minutes.

Gabriel Jesus’ Palmeiras beat Fluminense 2-0 to stay top of the Brazilian Serie A but for once Jesus was not on the scoresheet.

Celtic winger Patrick Roberts continued his recovery from a knee injury as a 57th minute substitute for the Bhoys and helped them to a 4-1 win over Aberdeen.

Aaron Mooy played the full match as Huddersfield continued their unbeaten record with a 1-0 victory against Wolves to keep his club top of the Championship. Jack Byrne remained an unused substitute during Blackburn’s 1-0 home loss to Fulham.

In Norway, Bismark-Adjei Boateng’s Stromsgodset lost 2-0 to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Molde while Christian Nwakali’s IK Start were beaten by Bodo/Glimt by the same score.

Manu Garcia, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Marlos Moreno all await their debuts at Alaves, PSV and Deportivo La Coruna respectively.

Bruno Zuculini has now gone on loan to Spanish club Rayo Vallecano and Sinan Bytyqi is the latest to move to Holland, with a loan spell at Go Ahead Eagles announced on Tuesday.
