And the Chilean goalkeeper says City’s second-half performance against Arsenal on Sunday provides a blueprint for success.
City found themselves a goal behind at half-time against Arsenal – but they rallied in the second half, with Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling scoring to seal a 2-1 victory that moved Pep Guardiola’s side up to second in the Premier League table.
It was a dominant performance and Bravo says it would be difficult for any team in England to cope with City in that kind of form.
“It doesn’t matter who we are facing, if we do things right and get back to our level getting points at our stadium will be very difficult for any team,” he said. “We need to keep our level: good defending, good attack…exactly what we did in the second half.”
City have won their last two league matches, arresting a slump in form that saw them win just four times in 15 matches in all competitions.
It was a run that saw their desire to play out from the back questioned - but Bravo insists the squad remained relaxed throughout, firm in their belief they could turn things around without the need to deviate from their preferred style.
“When you get bad results people focus on the negative side of things, but we were always calm,” he said. “We trust the manager, and we believe in our work and ourselves, and I think we showed that today, playing the way the manager wants us to play.
“We are calm because we know we can compete and play games like today, where we were very good, particularly in the second half, we created a lot of chances and got the goals.
“I think we did a great job, particularly in the second half. It’s a very important win. We’ve played very well against a great side that was very dangerous in the first half.
“Arsenal were playing good recently and they didn’t get many chances in the second half. We are happy about the three points.”
