Check out how City's young players are doing on loan in Europe and further afield...

Shay Facey had a full run-out for Rotherham but overall it was a disappointing day for the City defender and the Millers, who went down to a 4-1 defeat at home to fellow Championship strugglers Charlton.

Ian Lawlor continues to get game-time at Bury, however the ‘magic of the cup’ cliché can’t be applied to the goalkeeper.

His side are out of the FA Cup thanks to a 3-1 loss to Hull City, with striker Chuba Akpom grabbing all three goals for the Tigers at Bury’s Gigg Lane ground.

Disappointed with the result and some of the decisions that went against us! Some positives to take for next week @buryfcofficial ??

Midfielder Jack Byrne started twice for Cambuur in their Eredivisie outings last week. The Irishman played the first 45 minutes against AZ Alkmaar and all of the meeting with Heerenveen, but was could not prevent his side’s 1-0 and 3-1 defeats.

Buzzing to see @67Kelechi get a hat-trick today and the rest of the boys getting a run out @BersantCelina @angel_tasende69 @Camhumphreys3 ????

Thomas Agyepong only featured in the final three minutes as Twente were beaten 2-0 by NEC Nijmegan, and in the Dutch second tier Divine Naah helped NEC Breda to a 1-0 win over Helmond Sport.

Midfielder Anthony Caceres joined City in January but was immediately loaned to Melbourne City, who faced Western Sydney Wanderers in a top-of-the-table clash in the Hyundai A-League.

But it was a night to forget for the Australian 23-year-old, who was sent off for a second bookable offence with five minutes remaining.

His side had clawed their way back to just a goal behind after being 0-3 down, but following his dismissal league leaders Sydney kept their noses in front to eventually inflict a 4-3 on our sister club.
