Garcia, who turned 18 last month, is one of a clutch of talented teenagers the manager may turn to in order to send his strongest XI out fresh in midweek against Dynamo Kyiv.
Though the make-up of the Blues’ side won’t be clear until Sunday afternoon, Manu says he will be ready if called upon.
“The manager has told us there is a possibility we will need to field a younger squad on Sunday because we have so many big games in a short space of time,” said Garcia.
“We are still trying to win every competition we are in but we have a lot of injuries so it is not easy – we’d rather it was different, but if we get the chance, we will try and take it and do our best.
“People would look at our team if we have several youngsters playing and expect Chelsea to win, but that is to our advantage.
“It means we could play with no pressure and with some freedom because we would have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
“It would be a great chance to show what we are capable of and prove that we can perform at the highest level.
“Liverpool have played young teams in the FA Cup this season and they performed really well. It also sends out a great message to everyone in the Academy that, with hard work, opportunities will come your way.
Manu also revealed David Silva has given him advice for when he does play for the senior team.
He said: “He has told me to go out and play my normal game, not worry about anything and play as though I were playing an EDS game, be involved and take responsibility.
“As for Chelsea, they have so many great players to choose from that whoever plays for us on the day knows how difficult this game will be.
“They have world class players all over the pitch and in Diego Costa, they have a striker who you would love to have in your team.
“But we have quality throughout our team and why can’t we go there and win? Anything is possible in football and you just never know what might happen. It’s a massive game that will be shown all over the world so it’s a huge stage for everyone that plays.”
