2015
City were looking to strengthen their grip on second place and keep the pressure on leaders Chelsea when they headed to the Britannia Stadium this time last year.
Sergio Aguero opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a fantastic individual effort which saw him pick the ball up just inside Stoke’s half and drive towards goal before driving the ball past Asmir Begovic.
The lead was shortlived though as Peter Crouch headed home to level the scores just six minutes after Aguero’s goal.
City turned on the style after half time when David Silva and Samir Nasri combined to set up James Milner to restore the lead.
Aguero notched his second goal of the evening from the penalty spot after Silva was felled in the area before Nasri completed the scoring 15 minutes from time to seal the three points.
