Can we expect much transfer activity from Alan Pardew this month?

Palace fans all over are praying for Alan Pardew to buy a striker. Our side have lacked a striker with a clinical touch and natural goal scoring ability for some time now. Somebody who can play alongside Connor Wickham would be an ideal late Christmas present.

How would you rate your season so far?

We’re enjoying our best ever start to a Premier League season and playing some very good football. Palace fans approach every season with the hope of staying in the division and we’re delighted to be close to reaching that 40-point goal.

What are your hopes for the rest of the season? Is a European place within reach?

The idea of European football at Selhurst Park would have seemed a distant fantasy back in 2010 when the club were on the brink of administration. However, with players like Cabaye, Zaha, Bolasie and Dann we certainly have the quality to compete on the European stage. Only time will tell.

Who is your most important player?

I believe Scott Dann is a hugely crucial player for our side. Scott is a natural leader, a solid defender and a player that reads the game very well and contributes goals. Scott has been our captain on many occasions and is a shining role model for our other players.

What will be the key battle in today’s game?

I think Yaya Toure and James McArthur will be a key battle. Toure is a world-class player and his quality has hurt Crystal Palace in previous encounters so we need McArthur to pacify the Ivorian. Easier said than done, though!

Sergio

If you could place any City player in the Palace team, who would you choose?

I think Sergio Aguero would be a fantastic addition to the Palace team. He’s one of the best goalscorers in world football and I think he would benefit from the service provided by Cabaye, Zaha and Bolasi.

If you could place any past Palace player (in his prime) in the current team, who would you choose?

I think Ian Wright was arguably Palace’s most influential player of recent times. His goal scoring in his prime helped Palace finish third in England’s top division and reach an FA Cup final.

Your predicted starting XI for the Eagles?

Hennessey, Souare, Dann, Delaney, Ward, Zaha, McArthur, Cabaye, Puncheon, Mutch, Campbell.

Prediction?

Man City 0 Crystal Palace 1
