The Kyiv boss has admitted that the chances of progression are slim but has called upon his players to spring an unlikely turnaround in Manchester.
The Ukrainian champions must better City’s 3-1 first leg win to have any chance of reaching the quarter-finals.
Rebrov told journalists: “We do not have many chances but I do think we do have a chance if the players just do not feel nervous.
“If they are relaxed they will create some chances. Tomorrow, we’ll be a team who will fight for the result to reverse the first leg.
“What can we do? We have to concentrate, we have to work very hard, we have to be a team. At least no.1, we must be a team. They have lots of good players but we must be a team and that’s the most important thing.
“I have followed City’s games - they won on penalties against Liverpool, they won 4-0 against Aston Villa and drew 0-0 with Norwich. In those games, they demonstrated quality football. They play very good opponents and that’s why this league is considered the best.
“This Norwich match showed it’s difficult – they did not play that badly, Norwich just defended very well.”
Kyiv’s star man Andriy Yarmolenko echoes his manager’s thoughts, conceding that advancing to the last eight was unlikely but the Ukranian international is targeting a positive result on the night.
Yarmolenko said: “The team mood is OK, normal, good – we have arrived to play and we came not just to play but to win. Of course when we lost at home 3-1, we don’t have too much chance to proceed but we are optimistic and prepared to show good football which the supporters will like.
“If we can’t proceed, we’ll try to show quality football.”
