City headed to the Liberty Stadium looking to secure the runners-up spot behind champions Chelsea and also guarantee automatic Champions League qualification.
In a topsy-turvy game, the Blues surrendered a two-goal lead, gained via strikes from Yaya Toure and James Milner, but managed to reclaim their advantage late on.
Toure netted his second before Joe Hart produced a stunning stop to maintain the Blues’ lead and Wilfried Bony found the net in injury time to make sure of the points and maintain a top-two finish for City for the fourth season in a row.
