This could read ‘Grimsby Town fans’, or even ‘Omar Bogle’s parents’, because we love all three for the part they’ve played in creating this terrace anthem about the delightfully named Mariners striker.

We, of course, aligned ourselves with the Gallagher brothers during the 90s battle for Britpop supremacy, but this chant to the tune of Blur’s Tender is simply brilliant…

It’s been quite a week for the Ivorian midfielder, who was back amongst the headlines after his two goal return at Crystal Palace.

He’s also up for the 2016 BBC African Player of the Year, which has been exploring the impact Yaya’s first professional club, Beveren, had on his career.

Sacary Bagna

No, that’s not a new signing, but the name given to our French right back by Chris Kamara.

Sky Sports’ funny man is famed for his commentary mishaps and afterwards Bacary took to Instagram to express his amusement at the accidental name change.

Why always me?

Five years on and Super Mario’s iconic celebration is still as relevant as ever.

After Cristiano Ronaldo’s reaction to his 39th career hat trick garnered more attention than the feat itself, BBC 3 took it upon themselves to compile a list of celebrations which outperformed the goals that made them.

Unsurprisingly Mario made the shortlist and we love it. Why?

Kit clashes

Little did we know, City led a charmed life playing in last season’s ghost green kit.

Not too dissimilar to the shade of Peterborough’s current away strip, the resemblance to a matchday steward’s attire caused the Posh a few problems this week.

Midfielder Michael Bostwick thought he’d picked out an overlapping full back as he sprayed it wide, only to realise it was in fact a steward walking the perimeter of the pitch!
