So, without further ado, here are our favourite things the world wide web has thrown up over the past seven days.
City rocks
Football and music have long been intertwined and with the Gallagher brothers, Johnny Marr and the Doves all blessed with the blue bug, City have a closer relationship than most.
Stockport indie rockers, the number one album-selling Blossoms, are the latest addition to the list of musical Blues and this week the lads have combined their two loves to create a fantasy football band.
We were delighted to see a strong City theme too, with the Status Quo loving Pablo Zabaleta on bass, Carlos Tevez on drums and the front man? It couldn’t be anyone else, could it? Mario Balotelli.

The Cruyff of his generation
Otherwise known as Kevin De Bruyne…
He’s been placed in the same bracket as the legendary Dutch winger by Hein Vanhaezebrouck, his manager at first Club Genk.
It’s worth taking the time to read this piece to find out the ingredients of the Belgian’s abundance of talent.

However, it transpires the basketball fan isn’t quite so accurate with his hands...

Sorry Sane
Our fifth against Monaco on Tuesday night.
And while he sent the Etihad into raptures, not everyone was celebrating.
4-3 would have been the perfect outcome for a fan from Leroy’s native Germany, who had that result, plus Atletico Madrid to beat Bayer Leverkusen 4-2, in a correct score double that would have paid out to the tune of €34,200.
Ouch…
Not only do we love this punter’s pre-match optimism, but also Sane’s apology after finding out the impact of his goal.
Man City Women recognition
Congratulations are in order for three of Nick Cushing’s squad.
We’re well aware of the talents of Lucy Bronze and Steph Houghton and can’t wait to see Carli Lloyd in action, so we were suitably pleased to see all three included in FIFPro’s 55 player shortlist for their women’s world XI.
Nominated by their peers, we’ll find out on International Women’s Day – 8 March – whether the Blues trio have made the final eleven.
