Also in Scotland, Billy O’Brien completed 90 minutes for St Mirren but couldn’t prevent his side from falling to defeat against Falkirk.

In the English FA Cup, Aaron Mooy helped Huddersfield to a 4-0 fourth round thrashing of Rochdale, having been introduced from the bench on 69 minutes on his return from injury.

Within minutes, he set up Michael Hefele for the Terriers’ third and also played a key role in the fourth.
