Manchester City midfielder Manu Garcia has joined NAC Breda on loan until the end of the season.

Garcia spent the first portion of the season at Deportivo Alaves in La Liga but will now see out the campaign alongside Brandon Barker and Ashley Smith-Brown at the Dutch club.

Having made just one Copa del Rey appearance during his spell in Spain, the 19-year-old midfielder will be hoping for regular game time as NAC attempt to earn promotion to the Eredivisie.

The news comes after the midfielder agreed a contract extension with the Club in December, keeping him at City until 2020.

The Spaniard made four appearances for Manuel Pellegrini’s City in 2015/16, scoring his only senior goal to date in the League Cup victory over Crystal Palace.

Garcia has shone at both Under-18 and EDS level since arriving at Manchester City from Sporting Gijon in 2013 and he’ll now look to use his time in Holland to impress Pep Guardiola and his backroom staff.

Everyone at Manchester City would like to wish Manu well in Holland and we look forward to welcoming him back in the summer.
