2014: City 6 West Ham United 0
Beast Treble
City went into the Capital One Cup semi-final with Sam Allardyce’s side looking to establish a defendable lead in the second leg but by the end of this game, Blues’ fans were booking their travel to Wembley.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were in electric form and in Alvaro Negredo, City had the most in-form striker in the country.
It would be The Beast’s night, too, as he bullied the Hammers defence and caused them problems from start to finish.
Negredo scored on 12 and 26 minutes before Yaya Toure added a third just before the break.
The Spaniard had completed his hat-trick just after half-time and further goals from Edin Dzeko on 60 and 89 minutes completed an emphatic win for City.
May 2014: City 2 West Ham 0
Title decider
City went into the final game of the season knowing victory would bring the Premier League trophy back to the Etihad Stadium for the second time in three years.
Though the result never really looked in doubt, there was relief all round when Samir Nasri’s fierce low shot from distance opened the scoring six minutes before the break.
Not long after the re-start, skipper Vincent Kompany forced the ball home from close range to secure a 2-0 win – and the title.
January 2016 West Ham 2 City 2
Goodbye to the Boleyn
The Blues’ final trip to Hammers’ old ground would be an entertaining affair as City twice fought from behind to secure a point.
City, just one win behind leaders Leicester City couldn’t have started any worse against the sixth-placed Hammers.
Enner Valencia gave the hosts the perfect start with a goal after just 53 seconds, but Sergio Aguero levelled from the spot after he’d been fouled in the box.
Valencia restored the Hammers’ lead on 56 minutes but Aguero, often the scourge of West Ham, levelled again on 81 minutes with a low drive past Adrian to earn a precious point.
October 2013: West Ham 1 Man City 3
Blues show title class
After a stuttering start that had seen City take 13 points from a possible 21, a victory at West Ham was imperative, despite being at a comparatively early stage of the campaign.
The Blues looked in the mood from the word go and Aguero opened the scoring on 16 minutes.
It was the same player who doubled the Blues’ lead on 51 minutes before Ricardo Vaz Te pulled one back for the Irons.
There were one or two edgy moments, but David Silva’s superb strike ten minutes from the end sealed an impressive and much-needed win.
Aug 2007: West Ham 0 Man City 2
Sven off and running
Sven-Goran Eriksson couldn’t have wished for a much better start as his new-look City started the 2007/08 season with a flyer.
In bright sunshine at Upton Park, the Blues went ahead on 18 minutes when Rolando Bianchi slid home a debut goal on 18 minutes to send the travelling army wild.
With nerves frayed as the clocked ticked towards half-time, another new recruit, Geovanni, confirmed three points with a strike on 87 minutes to complete a happy trip to the East End.
