Where is The Coliseum?
It’s based in Los Angeles, California, on the West Coast of the USA. With its Spanish origins, the name translates to ‘The Angels’ which is why its nickname is the ‘City of Angels.
Located in the Exposition Park neighbourhood of the city, it’s easily accessible on the metro with more information on its location on the stadium’s official website.
What’s the stadium like?
First opened in 1923, the Coliseum has had plenty of renovations since then and now has a capacity of around 93,000.
The stadium is built in a bowl shape, like most large American sports venues, and, with the usually hot temperatures in LA, it is an open-air venue.
It’s hosted plenty of big events in years gone by with the Olympic Games (1932 and 1984) and the first ever SuperBowl in 1967 all taking place in the Coliseum.
Who plays there?
National Football League (NFL) side the Los Angeles Rams call The Coliseum home while they wait for their new stadium to be completed. The franchise first moved there in 1946 following their transfer from Cleveland to LA and remained there until 1979.
The stadium is also used by the University of South Carolina (USC) Trojans, a college American football team who have played there since 1923.
What transport links are there?
The main airport is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which you can fly direct to from Manchester Airport.
LA also has extensive public transport systems with their metro and bus routes making it easy to get around the city.

1: Hollywood - Whether it is the famous sign or the Walk of Fame, Hollywood has something for everyone and is well worth a trip. Which famous person’s star will you take a picture next to in your City shirt?
2: Universal Studios Hollywood - You won’t want to miss this one as the park has plenty of thrilling rides for you go to go from Jurassic Park to the Simpsons. You can also take in a tour of the working movie studio or visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the interactive maze of hit TV show The Walking Dead.
3: Natural History Museum - While the museum has numerous galleries and permanent exhibitions, its collection of dinosaurs in a 14,000-square-foot hall is one to admire. Take a look at the three full Tyrannosaurus Rex fossils, as well as the Age of Mammals exhibit.

Where do we begin? From Jennifer Aniston to Serena and Venus Williams, there are plenty of celebrities that were born in the city with it being famous for its lavish lifestyle. Other notable people include Jeff Bridges, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dr Dre and Marilyn Monroe… - it never ends!
Does the Club have any links with Los Angeles?
Fan favourite Nigel de Jong was with LA Galaxy for a season in 2016, while former loan star DaMarcus Beasley started his career with the Galaxy back in 1999.
