The England winger produced another marvellous individual display for City in a pulsating clash at the John Smith’s Stadium.
He won an early second half penalty which was converted by Sergio Aguero before then striking his 12th goal of the season with six minutes left to secure an 18th consecutive victory for Pep Guardiola‘s men.
“We went in at half-time disappointed - we were on the front foot and conceded late on,” Raheem admitted.
“In the dressing room, we talked about getting something out of the game.
“For the penalty, I just remember turning and seeing David (Silva) and Kevin (De Bruyne).
“You know that if you make movements, they will find you.
“That was the case for the goal. I felt the tug. It was a clear penalty.
“The one beforehand was perhaps clearer but, credit to the referee, he saw it and he gave it.”
