Manchester City have scooped two Premier League accolades for October.

Pep Guardiola has been presented with the Manager of the Month award for the second time this season after City’s three wins from three games saw them extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points.

Indeed, City’s 31 points and +31 goal difference is the best start to a Premier League season after 11 matches.

And Leroy Sane has landed the Player of the Month award after a fine October that saw him score and assist in each of City’s three games, including a brilliant strike to set City on their way to a 3-2 win away at West Brom. No other player could match the 21-year-old’s productivity in the final third throughout the month.

Everyone at City would like to congratulate Pep and Leroy on their well-deserved awards.
