Sergio Aguero is officially the greatest goal-scorer in Manchester City’s history.

Aguero edged past Eric Brook’s 78-year record as City’s all-time top scorer when he scored the third in the 4-2 win over Napoli on Wednesday.

Now, he will aim to power his way towards 200 goals for the Blues in all competitions – a feat he could easily achieve this season as he sets the bar and the new record even higher.

Aguero has already set other notable milestones for the Blues, with his 10 hat-tricks more than any other City player has managed.

His six Premier League trebles mean only Alan Shearer (11), Robbie Fowler (9) and Thierry Henry and Michael Owen (both seven) are currently ahead at present, though Shearer’s 260 Premier League goals record will be harder to top for Kun.

Should Aguero find the net against Leicester City, he will equal Rob van Persie’s record of scoring in nine successive away Premier League games..

He has already matched another Premier League record this term.

His goal at home to Liverpool last month was his sixth in succession against the Reds at the Etihad – equalling Thierry Henry’s record of six successive home goals against Aston Villa.

He also became the Premier League’s highest non-European goal-scorer in that same game against Liverpool, moving past former United striker Dwight Yorke’s 123-goal tally.
