The Etihad Stadium witnessed one of the most thrilling and topsy-turvy encounters of recent years arrived when Arsenal came to town in the 2013/14 campaign, as the two sides played out a nine-goal thriller.
It was a game City needed to win – and they did so in some style. Aguero opened the scoring on 13 minutes before Theo Walcott levelled the score on the half-hour mark.
The Blues regained the lead through Alvaro Negredo before Fernandinho handed his side a two-goal cushion shortly into the second half.
Walcott bagged again to claw Arsenal back into the game but David Silva regained the hosts’ advantage.
The final ten minutes heralded three goals! Fernandinho netted his second and Per Mertesacker headed in for Arsenal, and the scoring would be completed in injury time when Yaya Toure converted from the penalty spot.

City 6-1 Newcastle, 3 October 2015
A day Aguero will never forget… the day he scored five in one game. In fact, in 20 minutes!
The Argentine ace was at his sparkling best against the Magpies, who had taken the lead through Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The north-east outfit would find Aguero too hot to handle though, as he headed City level, sparking a flurry of quick-fire goals.
They were all well-taken strikes, with his fourth the pick of the bunch – a curled finish after he had cut inside.
It was such an outstanding achievement that Kevin De Bruyne’s acrobatic volleyed effort – a truly wonderful goal – proved an afterthought!

A day Queens Park Rangers will wish to forget, while Aguero and City will want to relive.
The Argentine was on fire once again, claiming a hat-trick as the Londoners were relegated from the top flight.

United 1-6 City, 23 October 2011
Of course, we couldn’t compile a list of six-goal steamrolls without recollecting the demolition derby of that unforgettable 2011/12 campaign.
Few could have predicted what would unfold when the Blues headed to Old Trafford – and few will ever forget.
A scintillating display sent City five points clear atop the Premier League table, while inflicting the Reds’ worst home defeat since February 1955!
The frolicsome Mario Balotelli broke the deadlock before famously revealing his ‘Why always me?’ t-shirt.
Jonny Evans was then sent off for the hosts and City wreaked havoc, as Balotelli netted his second and Aguero extended the lead.
There was still time for Dzeko to bag a brace and Silva to join in on the act, ensuring Darren Fletcher’s effort proved a mere consolation. The result of course, would prove significant in the title race...
