City’s starting line-up for this evening’s Champions League quarter-final, second leg against Liverpool has a different look about it this evening.

Pep Guardiola makes four changes from the side that started the Manchester derby at the weekend with Gabriel Jesus, Aymeric Laporte, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne  starting, while Danilo, Vincent Kompany, Ilkay Gundogan and Fabian Delph drop to the bench as City go looking for the goals that can erase Liverpool’s 3-0 first leg advantage.

Scenarios

If Liverpool score one goal, City must score at least five – so keeping a clean sheet will be crucial for the Blues to have the best opportunity of progressing this evening.

The only scoreline that can result in extra time and penalties is 3-0 to City – any other scoreline means the game will have been settled in normal time.

If City progress…

The following players would miss the semi-final if they were to pick up a yellow card: Kevin De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Gundogan and Nicolas Otamendi.
