Manchester City will mark skipper Vincent Kompany’s 10th anniversary at the Club by making a special presentation to the central defender prior to today's Premier League clash with Newcastle.

Our Captain Fantastic celebrated a memorable decade with the Club earlier this month.

Since joining the Blues from Hamburg in August 2008, Vinny has been one of the key drivers in the Club’s catalogue of success and has established himself as a true City legend.

In his 10 years at the Club, Vincent has helped City to secure three Premier League titles, three League Cups and two Community Shields as well as an FA Cup triumph.

He also been named in the PFA’s Premier League team of the year on three occasions and over the course of those 10 years, Vinny has made 337 appearances, scoring 19 goals.

During that time, the 32-year-old has not only established himself as an inspirational leader but also one of world football’s finest central defenders.

To help mark his huge contribution to the City cause, a special presentation will be made to Vinny at the end of the pre-match warm-up before today’s Premier League clash with Newcastle (kick-off 5.30pm).

In order to help celebrate Vinny’s wonderful decade of service to City, the Club are urging City supporters to be in their seats early this afternoon to help mark the special occasion.
