Raheem Sterling opened the scoring, only for Jamie Vardy to fire home an equaliser before half time.
But four second-half goals from Sergio Aguero confirmed City’s dominance and edged us one step closer to the Premier League title.

What more is there to say about Aguero, City’s all-time leading goalscorer who is now just three goals shy of 200 for the Club after four brilliant second-half goals took Leicester apart?
The range of finishes were remarkable – from a deft chip over a stranded Kasper Schmeichel to a powerful drive that flew in off the bar – as he once again proved to be City’s match-winner.
He now has 12 hat-tricks since his arrival at City in 2011 and has bagged 25 goals in all competitions for the sixth-consecutive season.
But it wasn’t just his finishing that impressed; his work-rate and contribution to City’s build-up play also deserve praise.
Put simply: he’s the best striker City have ever had. Leicester could not live with him.

After Raheem Sterling missed from three yards at Burnley last week, Pep Guardiola said: “football is football. The next day he will score.”
Those words could hardly have proven more prophetic because after three minutes of the game against Leicester, Sterling had tapped home from an identical position to give City the lead.
He now has 20 goals in all competitions this season, including crucial late strikes against Bournemouth, Everton, Huddersfield and Southampton. For a player operating predominantly in wide areas, that’s a remarkable number.
His opener against Leicester saw him become the first Englishman since David White (16) to score 15 Premier League goals in a single season for City. And much like White, it’s his pace and ability to arrive inside the box at the right time that has seen him become so prolific.

Kevin De Bruyne registered a hat-trick of assists in this game, further underlining his status as one of Europe’s best creative midfielders.
He now has 14 assists in the Premier League this season, which is more than any other player, and since his debut for City in 2015, no one in Europe’s top five leagues has laid on as many goals as the Belgian.
His vision and weight of pass is exceptional. This, again, was a majestic performance from the Premier League’s stand-out player this term.
4Seven more wins
City are now 16 points clear at the top of the table, for the time being at least.
Manchester United, who play Newcastle on Sunday, could close the gap to 13 with a victory, which would leave us needing seven wins from our remain 11 matches to be sure of the title.
