19Hand it to Bravo
Claudio Bravo proved one of the key figures behind City’s march to Carabao Cup glory.
The Chilean goalkeeper, who started every game in the competition, twice proved a penalty shoot-out hero for the Blues on the way to Wembley.
After City and Wolves had fought out a tense goalless draw over 90 minutes and extra time in a fourth round clash at the Etihad in October, Bravo then made two superb saves in the subsequent penalty shoot-out to help City secure a 4-1 win on penalties.

Bravo then repeated his spot-kick heroics in our quarter-final clash away Leicester City.

The game again went to a penalty shoot-out after the sides had fought out a 1-1 draw over 120 minutes and Bravo’s save from Riyad Mahrez’s spot-kick ultimately proved decisive as City went through to the semi-finals courtesy of a 4-3 win on penalties.
Subsequently, of course, the Carabao Cup provided the Club’s first silverware of the season as Pep Guardiola’s side defeated Arsenal 3-0 in the final at Wembley.
20Sane’s smash hit
There’s no shortage for goal of the season contenders after a wonderful campaign that saw the Club net a staggering 106 goals in the league.
However, Leroy Sane’s stunning effort in City’s dominant 3-1 league win at Everton in late March was right out of the top drawer.
Traditionally, trips to Goodison Park have always proved testing assignments but the German winger’s fifth minute volley proved the catalyst for a display which carried all the hallmarks of City’s commitment to artistry and athleticism.
A wonderful move saw Aymeric Laporte find David Silva on the left flank and El Mago then whipped in an exquisite volleyed cross deep into the heart of the Everton box.

There was still plenty of work to do but Sane made the difficult look effortless as he swivelled before unleashed a mesmerising left-foot volley to slam the ball past Jordan Pickford and into the left-hand corner of the net.
Beautiful football at its most beguiling.
