Who can City face?
The Champions League last eight draw is open – so restrictions applied to the Round of 16 draw no longer apply.
Therefore, the Blues could face Liverpool – the only other surviving English club – as well as any of the other six sides.
When will the quarter-finals take place?
The first leg matches will commence on Tuesday, 3 April and Wednesday, 4 April.
The return legs will be a week later on Tuesday, 10 April and Wednesday, 11 April.
Once the draw is made, the dates for City’s games will be announced shortly after and ticket information will be released in due course.
What’s our domestic schedule like in and around the quarter-final dates?
There is the small matter of the Manchester derby sandwiched in on Saturday, 7 April and a trip to Wembley to face Spurs after the second leg!
Either game could potentially see City crowned Premier League champions depending on results from the week before.

Of the seven teams the Blues could face, there are many familiar opponents…
Liverpool
City’s record against the Merseysiders is somewhat mixed over recent years with a 5-0 home win last September and our only Premier League this campaign loss coming at Anfield in a 4-3 thriller last January.
The Blues’ record at Anfield – one victory in 37 years – may not daunt Pep Guardiola’s side, but it’s fair to say this would be a titanic north-west battle and probably one neither set of supporters really want at this stage.
The teams have never met in European competition and the Reds’ Champions League past is unparalleled in England with five triumphs so far, the last of which came in 2007.

Domestic position: 4th Premier League
AS Roma
City last faced Roma in the Champions League back in 2014 when a 2-0 victory in Rome ensured the Blues qualified for the Round of 16 phase – the first group stage clash at the Etihad ended 1-1.
This would be a popular draw for Blues’ supporters, not only because of the prospect of a trip to one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, but for the opportunity to welcome back Edin Dzeko and Aleksandr Kolarov, now crowd favourites with the Roman outfit.
Roma saw off Shakhtar Donetsk in the last round, winning on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate over the two legs.

Bayern Munich
City have faced Bayern more than any other club in Europe in the Champions League with six meetings overall.
Of course, the fact Pep Guardiola managed the Bundesliga giants would add extra spice to the tie should we be drawn against them.
Though the last meeting was 2014, City and Bayern faced each other six times between 2011 and 2014 and the sequence has been a Bayern win, then a City win with three victories apiece.
City won the last meeting – against Pep’s Bayern – with Sergio Aguero grabbing a memorable hat-trick in a 3-2 win at the Etihad.

Sevilla
Conquerors of Manchester United in the Round of 16, City have been drawn against Sevilla one just one previous occasion.
The teams met during the 2015/16 UCL group stages with the Blues winning both ties.
A 2-1 victory at the Etihad was followed by a stunning 3-1 win on Spain – one of City’s best away performances in Europe to date - during which Fernandinho, Raheem Sterling and Wilfried Bony were all on the score-sheet.
The lowest domestic league placed side left in the competition, Sevilla have proved themselves to have excellent European pedigree with three Europa League successes in recent years – though this is the furthest they have ventured in the Champions League.
Should City draw the La Liga side, Jesus Navas would make a welcome return to the Etihad.

Real Madrid
Champions League winners for the past two years, Real Madrid have won the competition more times than any other club with an incredible 12 successes to date.
A genuine European giant, the Blues have faced Real four times without winning.
The last meeting was in the 2016 Champions League semi-final, with the Spaniards progressing 1-0 on aggregate.
Prior to that, City and Madrid met in the 2012/13 group stages, drawing 1-1 at the Etihad and losing 3-2 at the Bernabeu – despite having led 2-1 with four minutes remaining.

Barcelona
Another European powerhouse, Barcelona and City have met six times in the Champions League to date.
The Catalan giants’ connection with Pep Guardiola, plus former players Claudio Bravo and Yaya Toure, mean this game would be an emotionally-charged affair and, given Barca’s current form in La Liga and Europe, one of the toughest draws.
Our record against the Catalans is not brilliant – in the six games between 2014 and 2016, the Blues have won one and lost five – however, the last meeting saw City secure a landmark 3-1 win at the Etihad, with Ilkay Gundogan on the score-sheet twice.

Juventus
The Italian side reached the 2017 Champions League final and saw off Spurs in the Round of 16 earlier this month.
Juventus are both talented and dogged in equal measure and their ability to grind out results when they need them most is the stuff of legend.
The Blues have met ‘The Old Lady’ six times in European competition, including the now-defunct UEFA Cup, with Tony Book’s side winning the home leg 1-0 and bowing out of the competition after a bruising 2-0 loss in Turin back in 1976.
The teams met again in the Europa League group stages back in 2011, with both games ending 1-1.
City and Juventus faced each other in the 2015/16 Champions League group stages, with a Paul Pogba-inspired Juve winning 2-1 at the Etihad and 1-0 in Turin.
