Gabriel Jesus scored deep into added time - set up by Kevin De Bruyne - as City surged to the 100-point mark in the last seconds of the season.
In a campaign of sustained brilliance this was a hugely satsifying crescendo ahead of Monday’s parade in Manchester.
Guardiola said: “What can I say? 100 points - 50 points at home and 50 points away. It’s massive.
“100 points in the Premier League - you cannot imagine.
“The record will be broken but it will be difficult. They would have to do many things.
“We had the challenge to break records. We had a target.
“We were lucky in some moments. In the last moment, the quality from Kevin De Bruyne and the moment from Gabriel Jesus was fantastic.
“We have achieved something unique. We broke everything! When we started, it was about trying to play well and improve every day. We found during the process we were winning games. It is magnificent.”
In laying on the winner De Bruyne pipped his team-mate Leroy Sane to the Cadbury’s Playmaker of the Year award, with 16 assists in total.
The boss added of De Bruyne: “Unfortunately, he didn’t get the Player of the Year. Mo Salah was outstanding but Kevin deserved it too.
“He was in the team, he won the league, making good football. He was a key player for us all of the season.”
The frightening prospect for City’s rivals is that this young team can surely improve, a point illustrated perfectly by the introduction of teenage duo Brahim Diaz and Phil Foden late in the game.
Both will now receive Premier League medals, with Foden the youngest ever player to earn one.
The boss addd: “Now, they are Champions.
“It is an English rule that they cannot be Champions if they haven’t played five games but this achievement is for the group.
“They deserve to be Champions - they deserve the medal.
“We are going to celebrate with our fans at the parade tomorrow and after that, holidays and I will see the World Cup at home.”
