Pep Guardiola revealed the Ivorian will end his eight-year stay with the Blues after the current campaign, bringing an end to a magnificent tenure with the Club.
“Yaya is not going to stay next season,” revealed Pep.
“At the Brighton game we will make the focus winning and Yaya.
“We are going to try and win the game for him. We cannot forget we have magnificent facilities, but we cannot forget we are here because of the players.
“He came here, and we cannot forget that or what he has achieved for this Club.“For Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini, Yaya was a key, key player.”
Yaya has made 315 appearances for the Blues since joining from Barcelona in July 2010, scoring 82 goals.He has scored many vital goals along the way, including his winner in the FA Cup semi-final against United and the winner against Stoke in the final, bringing an end to City’s 35-year wait for silverware.
He was integral in both Premier League triumphs in 2012 and 2014, scoring a brace in the penultimate game against Newcastle in 2012 to secure a crucial 2-0 win and then scored an astonishing 24 goals in 2014.

Yaya also scored a magnificent goal in the 2014 Capital One Cup final against Sunderland, and dispatched the winning spot-kick in the Capital One Cup final penalty shoot-out against Liverpool in 2016.
Yaya’s legacy has been etched in the Club’s history books for all time and he will be remembered as one of the Blues’ greatest ever players.
