Shakhtar Donetsk

Luis Castro took the reins from Paulo Fonseca in June after the latter left for Roma having won three consecutive league titles.
Castro, 57, managed a number of Portuguese clubs before being appointed youth coach at Porto, where the former right-back climbed the ranks to eventually take charge of the first team from, coincidentally, Fonseca in 2014.

This is the third season in a row that we have been pitted against Shakhtar in the group stages.
We beat the Ukrainians 3-0 away from home before putting six unanswered goals past them in the home tie.

Opened in 1926, the Metalist Stadium was renovated in 2009 and its capacity now stands at 40,003. It hosted three group matches during the Euro 2012 tournament.

The city is served by Kharkiv International Airport, while its main train station is five kilometres from the stadium and has connection to most cities in Ukraine.
The Sportyvna metro stop is found right next to the stadium and the Red Line connects the stadium directly with the main train station.
Dinamo Zagreb
Manager
Nenad Bjelica was appointed Dinamo’s manager in the summer of 2018 and led his side to the league title with an impressive 92 points in his maiden campaign. Dinamo lost just twice that season.
Bjelica, 48, previously enjoyed a two-year spell at Lech Poznan, where he won 41 of his 78 games in charge.

After being knocked out by Young Boys in the play-off round of qualification for the Champions League, Dinamo topped their Europa League group and beat Viktoria Plzen in the round of 32 before being eliminated by Benfica in the round of 16.

Atalanta
Manager
Gian Piero Gasperini left Genoa for Atalanta in 2016 and guided La Dea to the Europa League with a fourth-placed Serie A finish in his first season in charge. The 61-year-old, who previously managed Inter Milan and Palermo, topped the feat with last season’s third-place finish to ensure Champions League football for the first time in Atalanta’s history.

The San Siro is an 80,000 capacity stadium, which is home to both AC Milan and Inter Milan. The stadium, which is set to be demolished in placed of a new ground on the same site, was renovated for the 1990 World Cup and ranks among the largest, and most impressive, in Europe.
