City’s 2-0 eclipse of Sheffield United saw the boss reach the milestone in his 134th game in charge, which is quicker than any other coach has previously managed.
Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne got the goals which sealed the latest in a long list of records achieved by Guardiola since he arrived on these shores three-and-a-half years ago.

He is ahead of some illustrious names, too, in the form of Jose Mourinho, Jurgen Klopp, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, but despite it being a personal accolade, the 48-year-old was keen to acknowledge the impact of the work of everyone associated with the Club.
“It’s a big compliment for the Club, players and staff to achieve 100 victories,” he said.
“It’s an incredible achievement for this incredible organisation and big compliments to all the players and staff we had during this period.
“Prestigious clubs, Chelsea, Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City is there in front of them, with the incredible amount of games won in a short period.
“We have been consistent, especially in the Premier League. We are all delighted for this achievement.”
A century of wins was not the only thing to leave Guardiola satisfied after a hard-fought game against the Blades.
The Catalan was delighted with how his players stood up to the physical challenge posed by the Yorkshire outfit, less than 48-hours after a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Wolves.
It may have been different, however, if VAR had not ruled out Lys Mousset’s opener for offside during a first half in which City failed to fully assert our superiority.
But we improved after the break and Guardiola was delighted with his players’ response.
“Today was an incredibly tough game,” he added.
“For the opponent, for the fact we played again after less than 48 hours against one of the most physical teams in the Premier League. Big compliments to my team, again.
“I understand why Sheffield United are in the position they are in the table and have lost one game away so far.
“In the first half we had problems but in the second we were much better.
“In these types of games, if the first goal was not offside, it would have been very difficult to beat them.”
