The competition has provided the chance for a host of our young Blues to grab some invaluable senior minutes.
Here, we take a look at every one of our academy players who have had a hand in helping us to Wembley...
Eric Garcia
Leicester
Eric Garcia made his competitive debut when named in Pep’s starting XI at the King Power Stadium. The centre-back impressed fans as he partnered Nicolas Otamendi on the backline with his calm and controlled nature on the ball.
Burton H
Garcia was called-up once again for the semi-final first leg, where he played the full 90.
Burton A
The 18-year-old was named in the starting line-up for our second leg, playing the duration of the clash at the Pirelli Stadium.
Phil Foden
Oxford United
It was a memorable night for Stockport-born Phil Foden, as he bagged his first senior goal as well as a spectacular assist to Riyad Mahrez’ goal.
Foden played the full 90 minutes.
Fulham
After a superb performance against Oxford, Foden once again featured for the full duration of the game.
Leicester
Again, Foden featured for the full 90 minutes at the King Power Stadium.
Burton H
Foden replaced Kevin De Bruyne just before the hour mark during our emphatic win over Burton, where he made an instant impact, scoring just minutes after entering the pitch.
Burton A
The teenager was named in Pep’s starting XI and played the full match.
Brahim Diaz
Oxford United
The 19-year-old was in Pep’s XI for our third-round clash away at the Kassam Stadium and saw his deflected shot headed home by Gabriel Jesus.
Brahim played 55 minutes before making way for Raheem Sterling.
Fulham
Diaz bagged his first two senior goals for the club against the London side, which proved the difference as we marched into the quarter-finals after our 2-0 win. The, now, Real Madrid starlet featured for 78 minutes, before he was replaced by Riyad Mahrez in the closing moments of the game.
Leicester
After an impressive performance against Fulham, Diaz was named in Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up to face the Foxes in the quarter-final.
Diaz played for 64 minutes, but made way for Raheem Sterling in the second half.
Adrian Bernabe
Oxford United
Adrian Bernabe, who joined in the summer from Barcelona’s academy, made his competitive debut for the Blues when he came on for Riyad Mahrez in the closing moments of our game against Oxford.
Claudio Gomes
Fulham
The defensive midfielder, who signed from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer, featured in the closing moments of our game against Fulham.
Gomes replaced De Bruyne in the 86th minute.
Aro Muric
Oxford United
After being recalled from NAC Breda, Aro Muric stepped up to make his competitive debut for City away against Oxford United. He kept a clean sheet to help City progress through to the next round 3-0.
Fulham
Another 90 minutes and another clean sheet for the goalkeeper.
Leicester
Muric was hailed a penalty hero after saving a number of spot-kicks as City progressed through to the semi-final of the competition.
The ‘keeper saved two in the shoot-out, after it finished level at 90 minutes.
Burton H
90 minutes and a clean sheet.
Burton A
90 minutes and a clean sheet.
Felix Nmecha
Leicester
Felix Nmecha - younger brother of Lukas who featured in the competition last year – was on the bench for our quarter-final win.
Burton A
The 18-year-old made his senior debut away at the Pirelli Stadium when the midfielder replaced Oleksandr Zinchenko in the 67th minute of the second leg tie.
Ian Carlo Poveda
Burton A
Pacey winger, Ian Carlo Poveda, impressed as he made his competitive senior debut for Pep’s side against Burton.
Poveda played the full 90 minutes as we secured our place in the final.
Dan Grimshaw, Luke Bolton, Taylor Richards
All three Academy starlets were unused subs on the bench for our away game against Burton Albion.
