The midfielder, widely regarded as City’s greatest-ever player, will be looking to win his eighth major domestic trophy since joining the Club in the summer of 2010.
And although he is expecting a difficult game against a Chelsea side full of attacking quality, he says he’s desperate to add another title to his growing list.
“It’s another chance to win a title,” he says. “And it’s always beautiful to play a final at Wembley, for our fans as well.
“Hopefully, we can win it.
“A final is always difficult, whether you play Chelsea or any other team.
“It’ll be tough. They have a lot of quality players up front, so we should take care.”

Silva, now 33, remains central to City’s attacking play.
He’s played 33 times this season, scoring nine and assisting 10, with Guardiola recently describing him as “one of the best players I have trained”.
His current City deal ends in the summer of 2020, by which time he will have spent a decade at the Club.
Silva says he feels fresh, despite his advancing years, but admits he is finding new strategies to keep himself in top condition.
“I feel good, to be honest,” he said. “I feel good and I know every day it gets tougher because there’s a lot of games and a high level.
“But I feel fine. I have to take more care, but that’s what I’m doing and I’m feeling good.”
With Silva one of the most experienced players in the City squad, he now takes on the role of mentor to some of the Club’s younger players.
Indeed, Phil Foden has repeatedly cited the Spaniard has the most influential senior players in the squad.
With a World Cup, two European Championships, three Premier League titles, an FA Cup and three League Cups to his name, City’s youngsters could hardly have a better role model to look up to.
It’s something Silva takes seriously, saying he
“When the youngsters that are coming through need advice, when they need to be there, the more experienced players try to be there for them,” he said.
“I do that because when I was young I also liked to be helped by the most experienced ones.”
