The 22-year-old Brazilian striker has just celebrated the second anniversary of his arrival at the Etihad from Palmeiras and after a goal-laden January he is arguably in the best form of his career since joining the Blues.
He was on target again today, netting a wonderful opener which took his tally for January alone to eight and reflecting on another fine display, Gabriel said his fine form on the pitch was mirrored off it by his deep attachment to his adopted city.
“I love it here as after two years it (Manchester) is my home,” said Gabriel after notching up the 15th goal of the season by setting the Blues on their way to a dominant five-star display against the Clarets.

“I love it more and more as my life is here and I talk about that with my family and my friends when they come and visit me.
“So yes, I really love it here.
“I am feeling amazing. It was very good because I scored a goal and helped the team,” added the Brazilian international.
“That’s what I have focused on – to score and work hard on the pitch so I can help the team.
“It was a really hard game as Burnley are a very good team. They have very good players so we had to work hard.”
Victory over Sean Dyche’s side put the Blues into Monday’s fifth round draw and means we are a step closer towards a first FA Cup success since 2011.
City, of course, are fighting for success on four fronts having already booked our place in the Carabao Cup final as well seeking Premier League and Champions League success too.

And Jesus said he and his team-mates were determined to try and bring the FA Cup back to the Etihad this May.
“The FA Cup is a really good competition. In Brazil we have a similar competition, so I want to win the FA Cup,” Gabriel continued.
“We (the Club) want to win the FA Cup so we need to play well and we are working hard to win this amazing competition.”
