The Argentine striker yet again proved a crucial component in City’s remarkable season which ended with the Club creating English football history by securing all four domestic trophies.
Aguero was one of the spearheads of our successful defence of our Premier League title, claiming more than 20 goals in the top-flight for a fifth successive season.
Kun made a similar key impact in the Club’s Community Shield, Carabao Cup and FA Cup triumphs, claiming 32 goals in total across the season..
Those efforts were also recognised by his peers with Aguero being voted into the 2018/19 PFA Premier League team of the year.

Already the Club’s record goal-scorer, having overtaken Eric Brook’s previous best tally of 177 career goals in 2017, Aguero’s remarkable efforts have helped further cement his place in City’s pantheon of all-time greats.
With more than 230 career goals for the Club now under his belt, there’s no telling what final tally Aguero will go on and establish.
And legendary fellow City goal-scorer Lee – who was one of the mainstays of a memorable and sustained period of success for City during the late 1960s and early 1970s – believes the inspired leadership of manager Guardiola has helped drive Aguero to new heights.
“It’s just great to watch Sergio and to see the way that he goes about his game,” said Francis.
“I saw before Pep came that though he was already so good, there were still areas where I thought Sergio could get even better.
“And I do think that Sergio has improved a lot since Pep came to the Club. He’s a lot more mobile and is much more involved in the game now.
“He pressurises people more and some of his outstanding goals over the past couple of seasons have come from him putting people under extreme pressure.
“Don’t forget that for a relatively small guy he’s also got a superb technique and a very good attitude.

“He’s a natural finisher who attracts the ball in the penalty area. He has got great pace and is like lightening over that first couple of yards while his close control is excellent.
“But since Pep has come along, if anything, Sergio looks even fitter and sharper and is more involved in the game.
“For a defender he must be a nightmare to play against.
“Sergio is deservedly a City legend and I think that now, in every facet of his game, he is just a tip-top striker and right up there with the very best in the game.
“It’s great to watch!”
