After the game the manager, players and staff conducted a lap of appreciation to salute the City fans for their amazing support.
However, Guardiola warned that the trip to Brighton would be a tough assignment.
“Of course, we are so happy because with no win it would be almost impossible to win title,” said Guardiola.
“We celebrate on the pitch today and it was nice to win last game at home.
“Last two or three months the support has been incredible. Leicester are so dangerous. They wanted to play but i not expect them to defend so deep.

“We saw the last three or four months the Leicester games, they are incredible and next season they will be up there. But we did it and celebrate with fans.
“The players are mature, and we have one more game. It will be tough in Brighton.
“They took a result at Arsenal. We played few weeks ago against them (in the FA Cup semi-final) and it was tough.
“They will play for pride but it’s in our hands. We were seven points behind but we never give up.
“We are still there and we win 13 games in a row.”
The boss was also full of praise for the way his players stuck to their task knowing what was at stake.
“It was an Incredible performance. Incredible. I am so sorry but it was so good,” Guardiola added.
“We didn’t concede one corner or one shot on target. Sometimes you need a goal; like today. It was outstanding the way we played the second half, the character and the personality.
“Knowing how difficult it is and to handle the emotions. Knowing if we do not win, we cannot be champions. We have pressure because it is in our hands. We deserve to be in that position we have one more game and we will try.”
And, not surprisingly, Guardiola had nothing but praise for the impact and inspiring leadershuip qualities of captain Komnpany after his incredible strike.
“I said before the game ‘no shoot Vinny’,” Pep joked. “He was right to not follow my thoughts. Incredible. The desire to win every game.
“There are important players in that club, it is more than one century history this club, not a lot of titles in trophy cabinet but a lot of players help us to be where we are right now.
“When fit Vinny is an incredible player. He is real defender with personality and leader happy for him for the club and everybody.”
