Three Manchester City players have been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award.

Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva have all been shortlisted, alongside Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah (all Liverpool).

Aguero became only the second player in Premier League history to score 20 goals or more in five consecutive seasons when he struck in the recent win over Burnley at Turf Moor.

Sterling has enjoyed a fine season. Already awarded the PFA Young Player of the Year award, he has contributed 17 goals and 12 assists in 33 league appearances.

And Bernardo has shown quality in both wide and central areas, scoring seven and assisting eight in 35 matches.
