Sergio Aguero’s first goal in the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace was his 250th for City.

He tapped home at the backpost to equalise with eight minutes remaining to bring up the milestone - and then headed City ahead moments later.

But a late own goal from Fernandinho saw Roy Hodgson’s men leave the Etihad with a point

The Argentine became the club’s all-time leading goalscorer in 2017 when his goal in the 4-2 win at Napoli saw him eclipse Eric Brook’s 78-year record.

But the goals keep coming for Aguero, who has now amassed 251 in 360 matches.

It’s a remarkable record for a player whose place in the pantheon of City greats is assured.

Last weekend he bagged a hat-trick at Aston Villa, which saw him move ahead of Alan Shearer to set a new Premier League career hat-trick record and become the highest scoring overseas player in the competition’s history.

Everyone at City would like to congratulate Sergio on another magnificent milestone and we all look forward to watching him set new records in the coming years.
