Manchester City can now confirm the signing of Bernardo Corradi from Valencia on a three-year contract and for an undisclosed fee.

Manager Stuart Pearce said of his fifth summer capture: “I’m delighted to have secured Bernardo, he is a player I’ve been looking at for some time and think he will be a terrific acquisition for this football club.”

Corradi, who scored 10 times while on loan with Parma in Serie A last season, exclusively told mcfc.co.uk: “I hope to bring all my enthusiasm to Manchester City and I want to show everyone that I want to work hard now and during the season with my teammates. I want to do well here.”

“I hope to have the possibility to work well with my team. As I striker I will work hard and help the team to make a lot of goals.

“At the end the important thing is the team - and by working together as one the team will end in a good position.”
